Film "Being a Refugee"
At the beginning of October, we were privileged to have the Israeli documentary film maker, Carmen Nurit at the school to show us her film Being a Refugee.
Through moving interviews, the film highlighted the common experiences of refugees from various parts of the world now living in Germany and Isreal.
Insights into successful integration processes and inter-religious perspectives showed the complexity of the topic.
A viewing for parents was held as well as one for the learning partners in LY 11. All were touched by the personal stories in the filmed.
After each viewing, the groups discussed their impressions, and their hopes for the future.
